The film kicks off with Fernando (Vinay), a proud dog owner, who has been consistently winning international dog shows with his high-quality trained breeds. Though director Sarov Shanmugam's intention here is gold, what disturbs us is the clichéd screenplay that targets only children, losing its sensibilities then and there. It's also about how disabilities should not be looked down upon be it humans or animals, they have every right to survive in this world. Oh My Dog! is a film that revolves around a pure bonding between a blind Siberian Husky and a school-going kid. While the west has delivered some of the best films based on such subjects, we are yet to match their standards.
